How we collect, use and protect your information.

1. Data controller #

Paws Pool (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website (pawspool.org).

2. Data we collect #

We only collect your email address when you voluntarily subscribe through one of the forms on this site. We do not collect tracking cookies, browsing data or any additional personally identifiable information.

3. Mailing lists and purposes #

We operate two independent subscription lists, each with its own consent and purpose:

List 1 — Launch notification #

Collected through the home page form. Subscribers will receive one single email notifying them when delegation opens on mainnet. No further emails will be sent except as noted in section 4.

List 2 — PAWS Community #

Collected through the /community page form. Subscribers agree to receive periodic Paws Pool communications with a maximum frequency of 2 emails per month, covering:

  1. Pool updates — changes to fee, pledge, operational parameters or delegation status.
  2. Performance and rewards — epoch summaries, blocks minted and reward estimates.
  3. Relevant Cardano news — protocol updates, hard forks or network changes affecting delegators.
  4. Scheduled maintenance — planned maintenance windows with impact on pool operation.
  5. Community milestones — first block minted, delegation goals reached or other significant achievements.
  6. Educational resources — guides, articles or content to help delegators get the most from their stake.
  7. Integrations and tools — new compatible wallets, explorers, dashboards or other useful tools.
  8. Community products and merchandise — information about official Paws Pool items, physical or digital, free or paid.

The legal basis for both processing activities is the explicit consent of the subscriber, given by voluntarily submitting the corresponding form.

4. Emergency communications #

Regardless of the standard frequency limit, Paws Pool reserves the right to contact subscribers on both lists in exceptional situations requiring direct and immediate communication:

  • Unplanned pool interruption affecting block production or delegator rewards.
  • Critical infrastructure failures with direct impact on pool operation.
  • Urgent changes to pool parameters (fee, pledge) prior to taking effect.
  • Security incidents that may affect delegators.
  • Communications required by the Cardano network or by legal obligation.

These communications will be strictly limited to information necessary for delegators to make informed decisions. They will not be used for promotional purposes.

5. Email marketing provider #

Data is stored with Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), an email service provider based in France and subject to the EU GDPR. More information at brevo.com.

6. Data retention #

We retain your email address for as long as your subscription is active. You may unsubscribe at any time using the cancellation link included in every email.

7. Your rights #

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us at [email protected].

8. Changes to this policy #

We reserve the right to update this policy. Any significant changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers.
